Terms and Conditions


Travel Afrique operates an online platform, primary on www.www.travelafrique.com. Customers can use this platform to book trips and other travel related services. The services are provided by third parties that have been carefully selected by Travel Afrique. When booking a service, the contract is drawn up between the customer and the service provider mediated by Travel Afrique.

1. Scope of application

General terms and conditions

The General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “Terms”) apply to all legal transactions concluded via the platform. Travel Afrique reserves the right to change these Terms at any time. The version of these Terms which is valid at the time of the order and which cannot be changed unilaterally shall be decisive in each case. Conflicting or deviating conditions of the customer will not be recognized.

2. Scope of services

The Travel Afrique platform is an online marketplace that allows registered users to book travel services from selected third-party providers. The third party provider may include accommodation services, catering services, the provision of one or more day activities in various categories such as multi-day trips or experiences, access to events and a variety of other travel and non-travel related services.

Relationship between Travel Afrique and third arty providers

If you join Travel Afrique as a Third Party Provider, your relationship with Travel Afrique is limited to being an independent Third Party Provider and not an employee, agent, co-owner or partner of Travel Afrique. You are acting solely in your own name and for your own benefit and are not authorised to act, speak or represent on behalf of Travel Afrique. Travel Afrique does not and will not generally direct or control you or your performance under these Terms and Conditions, including in connection with the provision of the Services. You acknowledge and agree that it is at your sole discretion whether you wish to have Services listed on the Platform or otherwise engage in other business or professional activities.

Use of users content

To promote the Travel Afrique platform and increase the presence of offers and services with potential customers, offers, services and other member content may be displayed on other websites, in applications, in e-mails and in online and offline advertising. To support Members who speak different languages, Members’ Offers and other Member Content may be translated, in whole or in part, into other languages. Travel Afrique cannot guarantee the accuracy or quality of such translations and Members are responsible for checking and verifying the accuracy of such translations. The Travel Afrique platform may contain translations created by Google.

Liability for external content and links

The Travel Afrique Platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources. Such third-party services may be subject to different terms and conditions and privacy practices. Travel Afrique is not responsible or liable for the availability or accuracy of such third-party Services or the content, products or services available through such third-party services. Links to such third-party services do not constitute an endorsement of such third-party services by Travel Afrique.

Availability and accessibility

Due to the nature of the Internet, Travel Afrique cannot guarantee the continuous and uninterrupted availability and accessibility of the Travel Afrique Platform. Travel Afrique may limit the availability of the Travel Afrique Platform or certain areas or features thereof if this is necessary due to capacity limitations, the security or integrity of our servers or to perform maintenance to ensure the proper or improved functioning of the Travel Afrique Platform. Travel Afrique may improve, extend and modify the Travel Afrique Platform and may introduce new Travel Afrique services from time to time.

3. Authorization, use of the Travel Afrique platform, member verification

To access and use the Travel Afrique platform or register a Travel Afrique account you must be a person who is at least 18 years of age or a duly organised, valid existing company, organisation or other legal entity that is well known and able to enter into legally binding contracts under the laws of the country in which you are established.

You will comply with all applicable export control laws in your local jurisdiction. You also represent and warrant that (i) neither you nor your services are located or operate in any country that is subject to a U.S. government embargo or has been designated by the U.S. government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and (ii) you are not on any list of prohibited or restricted parties of the U.S. government.

Travel Afrique may make access to the Travel Afrique Platform or certain areas or features of the Travel Afrique Platform subject to certain conditions or requirements, such as the completion of a review process, compliance with certain quality or admission criteria, compliance with rating or review thresholds or a member’s booking and cancellation history.

4. Modification of these terms and conditions

Travel Afrique reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time in accordance with this provision. If we make changes to these Terms, we will post the revised Terms on the Travel Afrique platform and update the “Last Updated” date above in these Terms. We will also notify you by email at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised terms, you may terminate this Agreement with immediate effect. We will inform you of your right to terminate the Agreement in the notification e-mail. If you do not terminate your Agreement prior to the effective date of the revised Terms, your continued access to or use of the Travel Africa Platform will be deemed acceptance of the revised Terms.

5. Account registration

You must register an account in order to access and use certain functions of the Travel Afrique platform,. If you register a Travel Afrique account for a company, organization or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that company and to grant us all authorizations and licenses provided for in these Terms.

You must provide accurate, current and complete information during the registration process and keep your Travel Afrique account and Travel Afrique public profile pages up to date.

You may not register more than one (1) Travel Afrique Account unless Travel Afrique authorizes you to do so. You may not assign or otherwise transfer your Travel Afrique Account to any other party.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Travel Afrique Account registration information and may not disclose your registration information to any third party. You must notify Travel Afrique immediately if you know or have reason to believe that your access data has been lost, stolen, misappropriated or otherwise compromised or if you are actually or suspected of using your Travel Afrique Account without authorization. You will be responsible for all activities conducted through your Travel Africa Account unless such activities are not authorized by you and you are not otherwise negligent (e.g., failure to report unauthorized use or loss of your access data).

No third party is authorized by Travel Afrique to ask for your login information and you may not ask for another member’s login information.

6. Service fees

Travel Afrique may charge third party providers and/or users who book these services from third parties fees for the use of the Travel Afrique platform.

7. Booking services

Your details

In order for us to confirm your travel arrangements you must provide all requested details with the balance of the trip price. Necessary details vary by trip; they include but are not limited to full name as per passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport issue and expiry date and any pre-existing medical conditions you have which may affect your ability to complete your travel arrangements. Failure to provide requested details may result in additional charges or non-refundable cancellation of your trip.

Acceptance of booking 

If we accept your booking we will issue a confirmation invoice. A contract will exist between you and our partner from the date we issue the confirmation invoice.

Cancellation by traveler

If you cancel some or all portions of your booking cancellation fees will apply.  A cancellation will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation. Each tour has its own cancellation terms.

Cancellation by Travel Afrique Partners

Our partners may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. If they cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternate departure date or receive a full refund.  We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights

8. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of  Zurich, Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
