Day 1: Antananarivo
Upon your arrival at the international airport of Ivato-Antananarivo, our staff will welcome you at the customs area. We will help you with visa and luggage formalities and will accompany you immediately afterwards to the Rova Hotel, where you will stay on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe
After breakfast at the hotel we drive east to Andasibe through the typical landscape of the highlands and the eastern rainforest. On the way we stop at the reptile farm Peyreiras Reptiles to observe various endemic species of chameleons, lizards, geckos, frogs and much more. After arrival in Andasibe in the afternoon you will check into your room at feon'ny ala Hotel, which will be your accommodation on a half board basis for 3 nights. Before dinner we will take a nightly walk to observe more wildlife.
Day 3: Andasibe
After breakfast you will start the day with a morning walk through the primary forest of the Mantadia National Park, where diurnal lemur species such as the Black and White Crescent Lemur, Diadem Sifaka Lemur, Common Brown Lemur, Eastern Grey Bamboo Lemur and Red-bellied Lemur as well as various endemic birds can be sighted. After the visit we drive back to the hotel. In the afternoon we will take an excursion to the private Vakona Reserve with its small lemur island.
Day 4: Andasibe - Antananarivo - Antsirabe
Today, after breakfast at the hotel, we return to Antananarivo and continue our journey southwards to Antsirabe, through the typical highland landscape (rice fields, typical villages of the Merina tribe, rocky hills and more). We arrive in Antsirabe in the late afternoon, where you can check into your room in the Eco Lodge Les Chambres Du Voyageur on a half board basis.
Day 5: Antsirabe - Ranomafana
After breakfast, we'll visit Antsirabe, the industrial and agricultural centre of Madagascar, famous for its precious and semi-precious stones. Later we'll drive to Ambositra, the capital of Madagascar's arts and crafts. Upon arrival, we will visit various handicraft shops and have lunch in a restaurant ( at your own expense). In the afternoon we leave for Ranomafana, crossing the highlands and entering the southeast of Madagascar, where we pass through the territory of the Tanala people. Upon arrival, you will check in the Karibotel, where you will spend 3 nights on a half board basis.
Day 6: Ranomafana
We will spend two days exploring the Ranomafana National Park, which is home to three species of bamboo lemurs and several endemic birds. In the afternoon we will visit the Vohiparara Forest, famous for its bird watching, where you can see the Yellow-bellied Alike, the Madagascar Yellow-brow, the Madagascar Woodland creature and the Cryptic Warbler.
Day 7: Ranomafana
Today we'll continue our National Park excursion.
Day 8: Ranomafana - Ambalavao - Ranohira
After breakfast we continue our journey south to Ambalavao. Following our arrival we will make a short visit to the Anja Reserve and continue immediately thereafter towards Ranohira. On the way we will stop so you can take some memorable photos along the way: the south gate, the bishop's hat, the Horombe tableland where the reunion may be seen. At the end of the afternoon we arrive in Ranohira, where you will stay at the Hotel H1 on a half board basis for 2 nights.
Day 9: Ranohira
After breakfast at the hotel we drive to the village of Ranohira to pick up your local guide. Immediately afterwards we will start our hike to the famous "Piscine Naturelle" through the beautiful landscape of the Isalo National Park and endemic plants such as Aloe, Pachypodium, Kalanchoes and Tapia trees etc. We will spend about 30 minutes at the pool and then walk towards the Namaza area, which will take us about 2 hours. Upon arrival at the Namaza campsite you will have the opportunity to take a look at the ring-tailed lemur. Later, in the afternoon, we will hike to the Cascade des Nymphes, where, with a bit of luck, you will be able to observe various bird species, including the endemic Benson's rock thrush. At the end of the day we'll accompany you back to your hotel.
Day 10: Ranohira - Toliara
After breakfast we drive south to Toliara, passing various villages of sapphire miners. You will experience a change of landscape into savannah and bushes. Later we stop in the Zombitse National Park to see some native birds and baobab trees. Afterwards we continue the drive and explore painted graves of the southern tribes along the road. Upon arrival in Toliara you can check into the Hotel le Victory on a half board basis. To round off the day, we will make a night visit to the arboretum.
Day 11: Toliary - Ifaty
Today we have an early breakfast before visiting the arboretum, followed by a visit to the Reniala spiny forest for bird watching. With luck, we may spot, among others, the long-tailed ground roller, the subdert mesite, the green-capped coua and the little reed warbler. After the hike we drive directly to Ifaty, where you have the rest of the day at your leisure upon arrival. There you check in at the Hotel Belle Vue on half board basis, where you will stay for 3 nights.

Day 14: Ifaty - Toliara - Antananarivo
After breakfast at the hotel we drive to the airport and take a flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival we will hold a short gathering and escort you to the le Chat'o Park Hotel where you will be accommodated on a half board basis.
Day 15: Antananarivo
After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to take a city tour of Antananarivo and do some last shopping in the handicraft market of La Digue before we escort you to the airport. Later on, we will provide the last assistance for your return flight and bid you farewell.
The standard price covers a shared room with two beds. Paired travellers are accommodated in shared rooms. Solo travelers will share a room with another traveler of the same sex.
This price covers a private room for travelers. This option can be selected during the booking process.
